Hello!
I recently did a couple spot illustrations for The Context Magazine, a South Asian run online publication! The full article by Madhurima Khadilkar is set to release soon, and below are the two illustrations I did for their article on popular beauty brand Glossier!
"For ages, there has been an obsession with makeup that doesn’t look like makeup, for skin that looks naturally glowing." (Khadilkar) Glossier is a brand dedicated to an "invisible" kind of beauty product that blends seamlessly into your natural face.
"This is because Glossier doesn’t just sell product—it sells an image, the image of the Glossier Girl." (Khadilkar) Glossier is also a brand that aims to project a specific kind of lifestyle and aesthetic, that relies heavily on simplicity over abundance.
Additionally, I'm also working on some other super secret projects (zines and concepts) on the side while I try to clean up all my boxes from college. I never realized how many pens I had accumulated over the past 4-5 years, but it's easily nearing the thousands. Who needs this many micron pens???? Apparently I did.
Ok! This blog thing is working out pretty great! Let's see if I can get it past five posts before forgetting about it completely!
See you soon!
